About:

Luanne Platter, daughter of Leanne Platter, is Peggy Hill's niece, and she lives with the Hills.

1: Luanne came to live with the Hills after her mother stabbed her father with a fork during a vicious fight in their trailer over their last beer. Luanne's father took a job on an off-shore oil rig to avoid Leanne, and will only come ashore when Luane faxes him her mother's death certificate
2: Luanne went to the Arlen Beauty Academy in the first few seasons of the show, and dated Buckley. Buckley died in the third-season premire. Luanne left the Arlen Beauty Academy for community college at the end of season three and moved across the street from the Hills in season four. Then she moved back in season nine, got a degree from a barber's academy, and start work in partnership with Bill Dauterieve.
3: Luanne created "The Manger Babies" a Christian puppet show, which airs on Nancy's affiliate station.
4: Luanne currently dates Lucky, a redneck aquaintance of Kahn's, voiced by Tom Petty.
5: Luanne prefers charcoal to propane - she also once joined a cult by mistake when she was a lonely college freshman
