• 1: Among his hits: "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown," "You Don't Mess Around With Jim," "Time in a Bottle" and "Operator (That's Not The Way It Feels)". All of those songs reached the top twenty in the US.
  
  
• 2: Jim's first - and only - album released during his lifetime was entitled "Life and Times." The sucess of the above-mentioned songs propelled the album to number one on the Billboard charts.

• 3: While touring in support of Life and Times, Jim died in a plane crash on September 20th, 1973.

• 4: Jim's widow opened Croce's Cafe, a resteraunt, as a memorial to her husband. jimcroce.com is also maintianed in his memory.

• 5: Jim's son, AJ, is a sucessful musician in his own right. AJ was very young when his father died.
