A B O U T

Dum Dums were created by the Akron Candy Company candy company in 1924 - Dum Dum believed to be one of those words that any child could say at a young age and therefor be able to ask for by name. The pops were distinctive because of their tiny size and variety of fruit flavors. Spangler purchased the brand in 1953 and expanded the line, which currently produces over thirty different flavors, everything from traditional flavors such as cherry to new-fangled flavors like blue raspberry and cola.
