Created by Hector D Cantu and Carlos Castellanos, Baldo is the first comic strip to center on the life of a Latin-American Family.

The main character is Baldo, a teenager who yearns for a low rider and the attention of Sylvia Sanchez, the prettiest girl in school.

Baldo is helped through life by his father (known in the strip mainly as Dad), his grandma, Tia Carmen, his best friend, Cruz, and his imaginitive little sister, Gracie.

The strip has a great fantasy element to it, with monsters, ghosts and daydreams all routine.
